The Music Industry - Music in the Cloud

In December 2009 Polity Press published my book The music industry - Music in the Cloud. The book provides an international overview of the music industry and its future prospects in the world of global entertainment. It illuminates the workings of the music industry, and captures the dynamics at work in the production of musical culture between the transnational media conglomerates, the independent music companies and the public.

The book has been reviewed by Times Higher Education, European Journal of Cultural Studies, Journal of Popular Music Studies and it was listed by Hypebot as one of the books on the "record industry needs to read".

The book is used in music industry courses (both undergraduate and graduate) in the UK, Europe and Australia.
